THE SUSPICIOUS DEATH OF JOHN DANDRIDGE (BORN 1619)

This document describes the Court Case about the disputed will of John Dandridge, a direct ancestor born in 1619 who was a yeoman of Drayton St Leonards Oxfordshire.

The incomplete papers show that John died of “fits of the colic” in an upstairs room in his house in the presence of two of his sons and two of their friends, as witnesses, where a dubious will signed with a cross was produced.

The will was beneficial to one of the son’s present, but the outcome of the case is unknown.
