JOHN & ELIZABETH GIBSON

John and Elizabeth Gibson are my 4x great grandparents who were born in 1785 and 1787 respectively (age at death) and lived in Bermondsey, South London. He worked in the leather business being a dyer or a draper.

John Gibson was not born in Bermondsey as the records have been searched and the baptism that fits him best on the IGI is of John George Gibson to John and Mary in St Saviour, Southwark in 1786. Then this would fit with a marriage of John George Gibson to Elizabeth Baxter 1805 at St Olave Bermondsey.

The snag is that there is another John George Gibson, bachelor, marrying Sarah Passingham in Lambeth in 1809. Which John George is the one born in 1786?
